On Tuesday, March 29th, 2005 the Gonzalez amendments were passed by the Rent Board Commission in their original form

On Wednesday, March 30, 2005 the Alioto-Pier, Dufty TIC grand fathering legislation was heard in the Land Use Committee of the Board of Supervisors. The committee members (Maxwell, McGoldrick) passed the legislation on to the full Board of Supervisors without recommendation. Supervisor Sandoval was absent. The legislation will be heard by the full Board of Supervisors in upcoming weeks.

At the January 2005 California Apartment Association (CAA) meeting, the hot topic for discussion was the recent flurry of inquiries from landlords and managers about the state’s new Web site for Megan’s law, www.meganslaw.ca.gov.
