Tenant Screening
Thank you for your interest in the San Francisco Apartment Association’s tenant screening service. Tenant Screening is provided by Credit Bureau Associates (CBA) To set up tenant screening please follow these guidelines.
Initial Set-up
Members begin by signing and returning the CBA screening application (PDF, 1.5MB). We can only provide credit screening services to regular members.
Running the Reports
Tenant screening is available from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday.

Fax your Rental Applications to us. Please include the following with the Applications:
- Your name and member number
- Type of report requested (See Below)
- Your phone/fax number and/or email.
Please make sure the Rental Application is legible and confirm that the Rental Application has been signed. We are unable to run any reports without a signed application.

| SSN Search (per county) |
Indicates where and when a social security number was issued. | $8 |
| Criminal Search (per county) |
Searches through county court records for any criminal activity. | $25 |
| 3 Bureau Credit Report | Credit report with information from all three bureaus:Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. (Not available to sole owners) |

| Canadian Credit Report | Credit information on Canadian resident. Applicant must provide Canadian address and Social Insurance Number. |
