Parker Humes with the CAA Value Insurance Plan will provide members an overview of different renters insurance policies and will share real-life situations that could have been avoided if tenants had purchased renters insurance.  Renters insurance is affordable and has benefits for both the renter and the building owner. Ensuring that your tenants’ have renters insurance can help make their experience as a renter more enjoyable and hassle-free.

Margaret J. Grover with Wendel Rosen Black & Dean LLP, will be discussing policies and procedures and the employment law implications when hiring and working with resident managers. If you have building with 16 or more units you must have a responsible person that resides on site. Learn about how to structure your rental and employment contracts, how to discount rent or compensate your resident manager, and recent changes to the law that you should know.
