2:00 p.m. SF Fire Department Overview on Fire Safety for Property Owners
The SF Fire Department is proud to introduce our Community Outreach Education Team! Our goal is to make San Francisco a safer place to live and work! We are offering a fire safety workshop that presents fire and life safety information aimed at reducing risk of fires and preserving life and property. Our workshop consists of a presentation that includes information about escape planning, preventing fires in the home, what to do if you are trapped in a fire, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and emergency preparedness resources.
3:00 p.m. Department of Building Inspection Code Compliance with Matt Luton
Hear from the Department of Building Inspection's Housing Inspection department about what they look for (and see) as they inspect apartment buildings across San Francisco. Learn the ins and outs of the inspection process, about DBI's Housing Inspection checklist, how to work with your housing inspector and tenants, and learn how you can use DBI's Code Enforcement Outreach Program as a resource to upgrade your building and relationships with your tenants.

4:00 p.m. San Francisco Bar Association Mediation/Conflict Resolution- Learn about the innovative Conflict Intervention Services program, which utilizes skilled mediators with diverse backgrounds in landlord-tenant law, psychology, addiction, mental health and housing conflict to resolve disputes in affordable housing that can lead to eviction or homelessness. Presented by Scott Goering, SF Bar Association Conflict Intervention Services.
